Maybe It Isn't About Exercise

"Yes, I'd love to."
"Yes, let's go."
"Yes, I'll come."
"Yes, I can help."
Believe it or not—I don’t think most people really look forward to exercising.
They look forward to walking through an airport without worrying about how far the gate is.
OR
✓ Spending the afternoon at an apple orchard.
✓ Gardening for as long as they want.
✓ Seeing their favorite band in concert.
✓ Playing pickleball for three hours.
✓ Playing with the grandchildren.
✓ Decorating for the holidays.
✓ Getting down on the floor to pet the dog—and getting back up again.
Those are the moments we remember.
Those are the moments strength helps make possible.
The longer I coach, the more convinced I become that strength training isn't about building bigger muscles, or a beautiful body.
It's about protecting your ability to keep saying yes to the life you love.
Every time you choose to get a little stronger, you're investing in a future "yes."
✔ A yes to family.
✔ A yes to travel.
✔ A yes to helping someone who needs a hand.
✔ A yes to living the life you want to live.
If getting out of a chair has become more challenging than it used to be, or you've been wondering where to begin, I created a free guide just for you.
It's Not Your Age—It's Your Muscles is filled with six super simple exercises designed to help you build strength and confidence, one step at a time. You don't have to love exercise to get started—you just have to be willing to take that first step.
And I'm excited to share that this is only the beginning.
Step Two—Building Strength: Beyond the Basics is on the way. It's designed for those who have worked through the first guide, or for those who have been doing a little here and there and are ready for the next step with six easy bodyweight and light dumbbell exercises that can be done at home or in the gym.
I'd love to leave you with one question.
